Arthur C. Burdick, Jr.
A native of the Chicago area, Art Burdick came to San Antonio following graduation from the University of Texas at Austin and joined efforts with a local builder/developer entity that in 1978 became Schaefer-Burdick recognized as “One of America’s Outstanding Builders” by Builder Magazine and nominated for the “Lee Evans Award of Excellence.” Locally, he has been nominated for such awards as “Builder of the Year” by the Greater San Antonio Builders Association where he is also a past president and lifetime board member. As one of the original Spurs basketball team owners, Art served on that organization’s Board and Executive Committee and continues to serve on numerous civic, charitable, and industry association boards including the Roy Maas Youth Alternatives Foundation, the Dominion Architectural Control Committee and the Dominion Development Committee. Additionally, Art is a former Chairman of the Dominion Country Club and continues to provide guidance to its membership.

Alexia Herber holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and has been a licensed Texas Realtor® since 1996. Her 25+ years of diverse experience in real estate as well as construction estimating, purchasing, and accounting give her a broad and extremely well-informed perspective of homebuilding operations. After serving as Controller for five years, Alexia was promoted in 2003 to Vice President of Operations. She oversees the major operations functions of Burdick Custom Homes, including asset and personnel management, corporate finance and accounting, construction lending, and insurance procurement.

Shahab Mohseni brings an especially unique skill set to San Antonio custom home building, drawing upon a Bachelor in Architecture (BAR) with a minor focus in Construction Management from The University of Houston, as well as numerous professional certifications. Shahab has 30+ years of residential construction experience, 14 of which were in project management, estimating, and purchasing and has an additional four years in commercial construction to enhance his extensive knowledge platform. He is able to sketch conceptual ideas and draft corresponding plans on the spot, and then recommend appropriate solutions from both an artistic and functional perspective. He utilizes his construction management degree and acquired expertise to value-engineer at all phases from design to finish-out. Shahab’s longtime relationships with vendors and subcontractors ensure a seamless and well-orchestrated homebuilding experience and process for the greatest customer satisfaction.

Now with nearly ten years of design development, marketing and luxury real estate sales expertise to her credit, Tori Streff first graduated from The University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Interior Design, minoring in Spanish and Marketing. She then began her real estate career in Dallas working for a highly-regarded real estate developer before being recruited by a San Antonio developer to help launch and construct a new luxury residential project. Her efforts resulted in her promotion to the position of Sales Coordinator for this exclusive service-oriented development, paving the way for her move to Burdick Custom Homes in 2014. Tori’s specialized approach focuses on excellent communication with all involved parties, building trusting relationships, and understanding client needs to help them achieve the most successful results for their home building and buying process.

Monika Morris is a graduate of The University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Interior Design. She was a consultant on many Burdick Custom Home projects for almost four years prior to joining our staff as an in-house designer in 2006. She came to Burdick with experience in both residential and commercial design and has been involved with the design community in San Antonio for over 21 years. Monika has an innate sense of individualized design aesthetics and is able to capture and bring to life a client’s vision of their ideal custom home. Her step-by-step guidance takes clients through the entire design and selection process, with attention to every detail from color palettes and textures to the selection of every fixture, flooring, appliance, and much more. Monika is married with two young boys and in her leisure hours enjoys spending active time outdoors with her family, fishing, shopping and also following the sport of Nascar!

With over 14 years of home building experience in San Antonio, Tanya Kirkpatrick oversees the accounts payable and administrative operations for Burdick Custom Homes. She is also a licensed Insurance Agent and has over seven years of real estate management experience. Tanya is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, providing ongoing support for all facets of our organization. She is equally committed to ensuring the satisfaction of our homeowners by providing the highest level of customer service.

Robert Reyes is a native to San Antonio, has been with Burdick Custom Homes for more than 20 years during which time he received two Summit Awards for Project Manager of the Year. He has a longtime connection to the industry, growing up in a family-based construction venture where he first developed his passion for the industry. His fluency in Spanish has been an added asset for our diverse customer base, helping all of Burdick’s clients feel especially comfortable with the intricate process of building their home. In his free hours, he enjoys spending time with his large family that includes five children and 11 grandchildren.

Dave Herber is a project manager for our home building activities in the central-San Antonio areas including Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, Champions Ridge and other neighborhoods. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry for commercial, volume residential, remodeling, and high-end custom home projects. Additionally, he has expert carpentry skills and extensive knowledge of all facets of construction, which were honed during his many years as an on-site working superintendent building homes in Malibu, Hollywood Hills and Canoga Park, California. Dave brings this expertise in high-end, meticulous finish-out and superior client service to the Burdick team effort. He is married with two children and enjoys many outdoor leisure pursuits such as fishing and hunting.
Assistant Project Manager – Proud Team Member Since 2014
Abraham Quirino joined the Burdick team as an assistant project manager in 2014 working alongside our Vice President of Construction. He is fluent in Spanish and has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (BSCM) degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is a skilled carpenter and highly talented painter, having previously worked for over ten years with our most experienced paint contractor on numerous custom home projects. His previous experience in high-end, luxury home woodworking and painting makes him highly qualified to ensure the detailed interior and exterior finish-out synonymous with every Burdick custom home project.
Marketing Assistant – Proud Team Member Since 2016
Destiny Taylor is a graduate of St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and brings to the Burdick team more than six years of experience in marketing, sales, and customer service solutions. She began her professional career in Austin and served as an account manager for the nation’s leading IT Staffing and Services company in San Antonio where she focused on marketing, building client relationships, and new business development. Destiny’s role is focused on supporting all aspects of our marketing process, including online presence and social media, direct sales and marketing materials, and related activities.
